According to the latest news report, Thai social media influencer Thanakarn Kanti, better known online as ‘Lester Bank’, has died after drinking two bottles of whiskey as part of bail, for which he was offered 30,000 Thai baht (Rs 75,228 ). as part of the challenge. The incident took place at a birthday party in Chanthaburi’s Tha Mai area on December 25, where the intellectually disabled Mr Kanthi arrived around 11pm.

According to a report in the Bangkok Post, during the party, Kanti was asked to drink a 350ml bottle of Regency whiskey with an offer of 10,000 baht in cash per bottle.
He accepted the challenger and drank two bottles in just 20 minutes. He soon passed out due to excessive alcohol consumption and was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police were reported to have detained the man who had hired Kanti to take the challenge.
The death of the young influencer sparked a debate on social media. After that, a social media post by Mr Kanthi went viral, where he said he was carrying out such outrageous tests to earn money for his family.
“I am ready to endure bullying and insults just to get a piece of money from rich people to feed my family,” the message reads.
