Located between Lake Dal and the hills of the loot, the largest in Asia, the Garden Tulipov opened for the public on Wednesday, which indicates the beginning of a new tourism season in the Kashmir Valley.
Jammu and Chief Minister Kashmir Omar Abdul Omar Abduli was opened by Indiri Gandhi Memorial Garden.
The garden was created by the hum of Nabi Azad, the then chief minister of the former state in 2007 to promote the JK tourist season, which was previously limited in the summer and winter.
Previously known as the orphan bag, the garden was open to visit when tulips of different colors began to bloom, officials of the floriculture department said.
The Department of the plant puts tulip bulbs in a phased order so that the flowers remain flowering for a month or more.
This year, the department added two new varieties of tulips to the garden.
A new color scheme was introduced this year, and the total number of varieties of tulips and other flowers increased to 74.
Other spring flowers, including hyacinths, daffodils, muscars and cycles, are also shown.
About 17 bulbs from tulips spread to 55 hectares were planted in the garden, officials said.
They said the expansion of the garden reached almost full power.
The garden began on a small scale with 50,000 tulip bulbs imported from the Netherlands. It has instantly gained popularity among tourists and is constantly growing every year, both by the number of visitors and from the thickening tulips.
Last year, more than 4.65 visitors, both domestic and foreign, while the transition in 2023 amounted to 3.65 varnish.
