Today (April 8, 2025) Prince Harry made a rare appearance in the royal courts of justice, Central London, England, when the first day of his appeal against the UK’s home office began to abolish his security details.
Duke Sussex, Prince Harry, disputes the preliminary ruling of the Supreme Court, which will support the UK government’s decision no longer provide him with the highest level of security, which is funded by taxpayers. Despite the fact that the Judge of the Supreme Court has previously ruled that the decision of the Government Board to propose Prince Harry “order” security in each case was legal and reasonable, lawyer Harry Shahid Fatima claimed against it in the appeal court. “The appeller does not accept what the order means better. In fact, in his submission, it means that it was nominated for different, unjustified and inferior treatment,” Fatima said, AP reports.

It is noted that Prince Harry arrived in the UK a few hours before his father, King Charles III, and Queen Camila went to a state visit to Italy. However, Prince Harry and King Charles had no meeting.
At the end of the hearings on Tuesday, Judge Sir Jeffrey Vos noted the restrictions on time for the rest of the sessions, urging legal groups to maintain arguments. The appeal should continue on Wednesday, and some parts of the hearings are supposed to be privately from the sensitive nature of the information discussed.
