The family traces their roots to the village of Vadwur in Andhra -Pradesh, India, though they later moved to Chennai when Usha Ramosastria’s grandfather became one of the teachers of physics in IIt Madras, according to Reuters.

Her father, a roof, is a mechanical engineer who taught at the San Diego State University, while her mother Lakshmi is a respected molecular biologist who currently acts as a grace sixth college at UC San Diego. There she headed the missile development programs, reached multimillion -dollar contracts and served as deputy presenter for a major US Navy project.
