The application works by taking different testimony from accelerometer sensors, cameras and sensory built -in modern smartphones.Smartphones cannot measure blood pressure like traditional cuffs that squeeze your hand. Instead, the application uses gravity and finger pressure on the screen to assess the impulse pressure. “From gravity, your thumbs have hydrostatic pressure when you lift your hands up over your heart, and using the phone accelerometer, you will be able to convert it into a relative pressure shift,” the Vishal Dhamotran Biomedical Engineers said of the University of Pittsburgh.
