Hidden Mystery of Pregnancy: The doctor reveals how partners can strengthen their relationship when waiting for a child.

In an interview with HT Lifestyle, Dr. Menak Bennergi, senior consultant – obstetrician, laparoscopic surgeon and robotic expert at Cloud Group hospitals in Kaylash Delhi colony, shared what emotional support looks like –

- Assurance: Pregnancy often brings self -doubt. Simple confirmations such as “you are fine” or “I’m so proud of you” can be deeply uplifting.
- Check: Admire her troubles and worries as real, even if you don’t understand them.
- Presence over perfection: You don’t need all the answers. Most important are love, patience and care.
Build your bond as future parents

Dr. Menak Bnergi said: “Pregnancy is the perfect time to start raising your relationship as compatriots. Now it strengthens your connection and makes the transition to paternity smoother.”
How to strengthen the connection:
- Talk openly: Talk about expectations, fears and your vision of upbringing children. These conversations help to avoid misunderstandings later.
- Do the time for fun: Go on a date, take pictures and enjoy each other. Parents will be intense – this time a couple.
- Practice the work on the team: Small things such as meetings management, cooking or sharing solutions create the basis for general responsibility.
Support after pregnancy begins during pregnancy

Dr. Menak bannergi claimed that support should not stop at birth, because the postpartum period is a time when new mothers are vulnerable and in need of strong support. She suggested start preparing now:
- Help in Night Feeding and Change Direts
- Learn about postpartum depression signs
- Being a supporter while staying in the hospital or on a doctor’s visit
- Encouraging vacation and recovery over weeks after delivery
The father, who begins his support during pregnancy, is better ready for Behand-on, compassionate and present in the postpartum period.
Small actions, great influence
Dr. Menak Bennergi suggested: “Being a support partner does not require big gestures. Sometimes it is as simple as holding her hand while scanning, cooking her favorite food after a long day or rub his feet when they swell.”
She came to the conclusion: “Pregnancy is not only her story – it’s your story.
So, every partner is wondering what they can do: be present. Be good. Be involved. Your support is a gift that she is – and your child will be forever.
