Anuj Ramchandran, Deputy Director for Design and Construction, LIVSPACE, shared these rich ideas of summer decor that will make your home feel fresh, bright and ready for the season:
1. Matka’s handmade vases
- Hand -colored traditional clay vessels in cooling pastel tones, great for central, fireplace and vases (with fresh/ dried flowers or leaves).
- Color: mint green, blue powder, soft peach, sandy beige.
2. Made fabric wall plates
- Rearrange the scrap fabric into bright woven wall plates; Use a hoop ring for embroidery to create a beautiful gallery wall.
- Color: watermelon red, indigo, linden green, soft lavender.

- Use SABAI or Moonj baskets or any other straw like wall art or open storage, dropping for a personalized touch and summer pop.
- Color: sea foam green, coral, lemon yellow, tap.
4. The block-printed cotton lampshaws
- Replace the heavy lamp fabrics with cotton, tank-tedged printing in summer motifs.
- Color: ivory, indigo, blush pink, pale mustard.
5. Pressed Flower Art in floating frames
- Use summer tickets like Bougainvillaea or Velvet in minimalist glass frames.
- Color: saffron yellow, natural pink, ferns green, clear glass.
6. Putted up Sharpa as a vertical garden frame
- Turn the old wooden frame Charpai into a rustic vertical garden, hang light seedlings or wrapped jute terracotta pots with hooks or twine. Bend over the wall of the balcony or hallway for the earth, respiratory green corner.
- Color: natural wood, green leaf, terracotta orange, jute -beige.

Naveen Chowdhry, Director Inox Décor Pvt. Ltd shared these interesting ideas of the facade that blocks the sun:
1. Jali
- These perforated screens are rooted in Indian architectural heritage.
- Modern versions in metal, stone or karion allow the air to pass, softening sunlight into delicate patterns.
- A house in Delhi or Ahmedabad can be engaged in the jelly facade, remaining cool inside and throwing a thin, artistic glow outside.
2. Green walls
- Vertical gardens that spread to the facade act as a natural barrier, absorbing heat and refreshing the air.
- In a damp city, like Mumbai, a wall of plants paired with stylized wooden flights can cut glare and bring a sense of rest.
- The plants on the facade are not only for the appearance, they filter heat and add the life of the building architecture. This is a live solution that doubles as a decor.
3. Rethink shades
- To preserve home and more convenient, such features as overhangs, sheds and other shading tools can be very useful. They block direct sunlight, improve comfort inside and reduce air conditioners, help save energy.
- Usually, the walls get maximum of the sun in the south, so it is important to develop shading for them after studying how sunlight changes throughout the day and through different seasons.
