The winter season can be a challenging time to stay healthy and well. People are often lazy and don’t want to get out of their cozy blankets in winter. This is because the temperature outside is much lower, which prevents your spirit from staying active. However, staying active and alert is very important even in winter.
During the colder months, it becomes important for women to prioritize their health by staying active and energetic. Women are more likely to face various gynecological problems such as urinary tract infections (UTIs) or yeast infections.
These problems, if left undetected, can cause serious complications that can become a problem later in life. “A sudden drop in temperature can affect your immune system, which can make them more susceptible to these health problems. Make sure you stay warm and dry as this is essential to prevent the risk of UTIs and yeast infections,” advises Dr Seema Joshi, Senior Consultant Paediatrics and Adolescent Consultant, Ankura Hospital, Pune.

Make sure you wear warm clothes when going out or walking as this can increase your risk of getting sick. “If you don’t want to go outside because of the cooler temperatures, you can try doing physical activity or exercise indoors,” adds Dr. Pendse.
