Justin Timberleik diagnosed with Lyme disease: Symptoms, causes and all you need to know about the disease that is carried by ticks


Upon completion of his oblivion tomorrow, Turkey’s World Tour on July 30 Justin Timberleik showed that he was diagnosed with Lyme disease. The singer shared his health update in an emotional message on Instagram.

In a report that shared on July 31, the singer reflected on his 30-year career and the grueling he spent, preparing for touring, confessing that he was fighting with health problems and was diagnosed with Lyme disease.

At Instagram Post, the singer wrote: “If you survived the disease or know a person who is – then you know: life with this can be tirelessly grunting, both morally and physically. When I first diagnosed, I was shocked … I could understand why I would be on stage, and in a massive amount of nervousness, or just a mad.

What is Lyme disease?

The mite infection caused by a bacterium known as Borrelia Burgdorferi, life with Lyme disease can be depleting. Named after Lyme, Connecticut, where it was first identified in children in 1976, it primarily affects the skin, nervous system, heart and joints.

Symptoms and causes

In an interview with HT Lifestyle, Dr. Santosh Agarwal, Senior Internal Medicine Consultant at Asia Mareng Hospital, Faridabad said the disease is primarily transmitted to people through the bite of black mites (also known as Borrelia bacteria). These ticks are usually found in forest or herbaceous areas, and they can cling to humans and animals, giving bacteria during the feeding process.

Depending on the stage of infection, the symptoms of Lyme disease may vary. Moreover, it can also mimic other diseases, making it difficult to diagnose. D -R Agarvali showed that he usually progresses in 3 stages:

1. Early Localized Stage: Lyme disease usually occurs within 3 – 32 days after the tick bite. Early symptoms may include:

  • A painful red, round rash with a transparent center (migraines of erythema). The rash can expand over time, reminiscent of the bull’s pattern.
  • Preferred sites – hips, groin and edges.

2. Common infection: The symptoms are

  • Rash
  • Fever
  • Cool
  • Strong headache
  • Formity of the neck
  • Deep weakness
  • Muscles and joint pain
  • Enlarged lymph nodes
  • Involving the eye
  • Cough

3. Sustainable infection: If Lyme’s disease remains not treatment for months or years, it can lead to more serious and long -term symptoms:

  • Severe joint pain and swelling (Frank -aritis)
  • Memory, mood and sleep disturbance
  • Nervous pain (peripheral neuropathy)
