Following their family tradition, members of the British royal family celebrated Christmas at Sandringham this year. However, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan were also reportedly not part of his family’s Christmas celebrations this year. The tradition started by Queen Elizabeth was continued this year by King Charles III after his accession to the throne. Part of the celebrations also includes a pre-Christmas football match with the workers of the Sandringham Estate and the people of the nearby villages. The last time this tradition was followed was in 2018, when Prince Harry participated in Sandringham football match. In fact, he participated in it every year until 2018, when he married Meghan Markle, and last year, when the couple celebrated Christmas with the British royal family.
However, this year, as Prince Harry was not invited to King Charles III’s Christmas celebrations, he also missed the football match at Sandringham. Instead, Prince George attended a football match for the first time with his father, Prince William.
