Sunidhi is fitter than ever

In an interview, Sunidhi’s fitness trainer Viraj Sarmalkar revealed that the singer “lost five kilograms in 10 days to shoot” her recent glamorous dance number Aankh with actor Sanya Malhotra, in which both were seen in “bikinis”.

Elaborating further on Sunidhi’s fitness prowess, he added, “She can deadlift 90 kilograms, squat 70 kilograms on her back and do some pull-ups unassisted. At one time, she ran five kilometers in 25 minutes.”

Sunidha’s Diet Secrets

Viraj said Sunidhi consumes less than 1,200 calories a day as part of her calorie-restricted diet. The singer added that she adheres to the principles of periodic fasting and that “the motivation for fasting was not only to lose weight, but also to rest the intestines.”

Sunidhi revealed that she fasts for 16 hours a day and thus eats all her food in an 8-hour window. She starts her day with eggs and sometimes a slice of sourdough bread.

She said: “Ideally you should break the fast with protein and fat. They are more important than carbohydrates. When I’m hungry, I take food. I only crave food around 5pm. In the meantime, I can eat nuts, which will keep me full for another three hours. On the days I lift weights, which is two or three times a week, I also take a protein shake. My last meal is at 7.30pm.’
