You really have to see her doing leg presses and even deadlifts in a recent video shared on Urwanditha’s Instagram page! This will totally inspire you to make time for today’s workout and maybe even try lifting some weights:

“Age is just a number, staying young is a choice”

In the clip, Roshni said: “I was like, ‘Who goes to the gym at this age?’ Two years ago I got arthritis in my knee and hurt my back. Doctors said nothing could be done. But my son believed in me. He said that wasn’t going to work and told me, “Come with me to the gym.” At 70, this is me: deadlifting 70kg every week, leg pressing 120kg three times a week and showing up every day! Age is just a number, but staying young is a choice.”

The caption read: “Meet Mrs. Roshni Devi – At 70 I’m lifting weights, bench pressing 120kg and doing cardio daily, a sight I could never have imagined. Just two years ago, knee arthritis and a back injury made basic tasks painful. The doctors gave up on my recovery, but my son did. “Aise nahi chalega, aap gym chalo (You must come to the gym now),” he insisted. Hesitant and confused, I started thinking “Yeh umar mein gym (Is this the age to go to the gym)?” But step by step I got stronger. Today, I move around with ease, cook for the family, visit the temple, and look forward to training. The gym didn’t just heal my body, it gave me my life back.”
