A new era of Asian pop music: K-pop, J-pop and C-pop groups prepare to debut in 2025



Although K-pop has dominated the world in the last few years, there is a lot of new talent emerging in different parts of Asia, especially in China and Japan. In 2025, music fans can expect new debuts from K-POP, J-POP, C-POP and more, each bringing their own unique style and flavor to the world stage. Let’s take a look at the groups that have already debuted and will be preparing for the big stage in the new year.

I.Z.U

Participants: Kelly Kim, Lea Nawwab, Erin, Cleo and Juting

Agency: Makestar and PI Corporation

The girl group formed through the survival show “Time Turner” is set to debut in early 2025. Their first group performance took place on December 27, 2024.

Participants: Saena, Sio and Aran

agency: MASSIVE E&C, a subsidiary of IOK

The group consists of former FIFTY FIFTY members Saena, Sio, and Aran, and their long-awaited debut is scheduled for the second half of 2024. However, there could be potential problems due to opposition from the Korea Management Federation (KMF).

Participants: James, Dexter, Ollie, Reese and Blaze

(A Love I Can’t Explain) is an upcoming British boy group set to debut in 2025. BBC One’s Made in Korea showcased the group’s creation process.

AtHeart

Participants: Michi, Sorin, Seohyun, Caitlin and Aurora

agency: Titan Content

The contestants have been identified in the last few months of 2024 and will each showcase their unique personalities through their personal social media accounts. Their official debut is planned for the first half of 2025.

BLINGONE China

Participants: Sandy, Rani, Katrina, Cassie, Zuni and Chloe

agency: World K-pop center

This is the second block of BLINGONE that was created while listening to “Click The Star China”. They follow BLINGONE-PE (Peru), which has three members. The band’s official debut is scheduled for the end of January 2025.

ChoCo2

Participants: Anpan, Yunji, Gwenda, Meiyi and Hinata

agency: ChoCo Entertainment

In addition to these 5 members, the company is currently holding auditions to find additional members. While their debut date remains unknown, the group is set to promote in both the United States and South Korea.

Girls in hi-hat style

Participants: Hwayoung, Jiu, Rahi, Gayeon, Chwon, and Seyul

agency: Hi-hat entertainment

The Hi-Hat Girls (Hi-Hat Trainee / Unofficial name) is a 6-member South Korean girl group set to debut in early 2025.

THE LAW

Participants: Salhi, Cherin and Shion

agency: MOAI entertainment

This pre-debut South Korean girl group currently consists of three members and plans to debut with 4 or 5 members in May 2025.
