Sago Vs Tapioca

Before you plunge into the recipe, let’s clarify the quick question that may be on your mind: what is the difference between the saga and the Tapioca? The saga is the type of edible starch derived from tropical palm trees, while the pearls of the Tapioca (Sabudan) come from the cash register plant. Both white, chewing pearls that are often used in pudding and other desserts. Funny fact: pearls covered a little more than typical pearls of the Tapioca, and they can be used for this recipe.

Ingredients: ½ cup saga/Tapioca pearls, impregnated, 1-1/2 cups mango cubes, ¾ cup coconut milk, 2 tbsp.

Recipe: Start by soaking ½ cup of a saga gem/Tapioca in the water at least 2 hours. This allows pearls to soften and become more plastic. If you are in a hurry, even 30 minutes will do the trick. Once soaked, bring the pot of water to a boil. Add pearls and let them cook for about 15 to 20 minutes. Sometimes mix. You know what it is done when pearls are translucent and losing your white center. After preparation, strain the pearls and rinse them under cold water to prevent them from sticking.

In the blender combine fresh mango cubes, coconut milk and condensed milk. Mix everything to a homogeneous and creamy, forming a lush mango puree. For the final assembly, take the glasses and start by adding half the cooked pearl to each glass. Next, pour in the cream puree from the mango, filling the glass halfway. Top with the rest of the saga -meshuzhin for the perfect balance of texture and aroma.

It is also recommended to pour some ordinary milk into a multilayer mixture and mango to give it a creamy finish. For extra touch, sprinkle a few pieces of mango from above to snatch the taste and color. Cool the dessert for at least 1 hour to cool. Serve this refreshing treat cold for the perfect summer dessert or snack.

Regardless of what you spend a party, treat yourself after a long day, or just satisfying this sweet craving, this refreshing dessert is a mandatory business. Make it easy, breaking the aroma and will definitely be a crowd. So, what are you waiting for?
