For designer, Michari’s travel is more than indulgence – it is a own part of his creative process. Every journey inspires his couture with global stories. And if there is one city that left a non -evil marking in its evolution as a designer, it is Paris.

Five years ago, Rahul became the first Indian designer to demonstrate at the Paris Week of the Cuturic Week, which was achieved to secure his connection with the fashion capital.
Since then, it has been more than just an appointment – it is a tigel creativity where heritage and innovation converge to form their work.
“I stopped considering how many times I have visited – it’s four or five times a year since 2014,” he says.
Despite the fact that it is in Delhi, he considers this cultural epicenter his second home. “I live in India, but I am also in Paris – although I have no permanent home. I shared my time between both cities,” – shares a designer who comes from Malhausi, village near Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
Paris: Muse for fashion
Designing the design into the city deeply formed its design philosophy. “Before my exposition, I was more minimalist, but I learned that the details are all. If you look at the old designs and buildings, there is no way to find minimalism in these conditions, and it deeply affected my thinking process,” he muses.
Beyond its architectural greatness, the city has a solid heritage of art, culture and high fashion.
“It is here that the artists – whether it is Picasso or Van Gogh – came to make their mark. Few places in the world keep such a magnetic appeal,” he notes. This is a place that not only covers creativity, but also clarifies it.
Rahul, recognized by the French government with the Chevalier de L’ord Des Arts et lettres, attributed this art center in 2023, forming its perspective.
“Multicultural impact on skills and high couture played a significant role in determining my work. This is the best place to develop, push your borders and learn from the best,” he claims.
Balance of work and wandering
But relies with travel go beyond the scope of the atelier and the runway. He believes that the study is as important for his creativity as the craft itself. “Escapes are as important as work,” he explains.
For him, not only fashion week; It is also where he promotes with his wife Diva Bhat Mishra and daughter Aarar, revealing inspiration in his quieter corners.
“In the first few years I would go endlessly – in the morning, in the evenings – just studying,” he reminds. Now, with the required schedule, these long walks have been replaced by more intentional vacations. Post-show, the family often retreats to the countryside, taking slower rhythms of life.
“In one season we visited the Loire Valley and stayed with a couple in the castle, older than Taj -Makhal. The diaries of their family contained the accounts of the world wars, and I even learned that France had a time when taxes were imposed on the door and windows,” he shares.
For Michari, the trip is not about checking directions – it is about the absorption of new prospects. “These travels allow me to update my approach to life and design. It is about going beyond the attractions,” he says.
His favorite impressions? Staying in the villages of the village, shopping in local grocery stores, bicycles riding, taking boats on lakes, swimming and walking through the forest.
“The key is to discover how different cultures live, how the villages approach stability – simple things that are so much added to your thinking process,” he explains.
Where fashion and travel converge
Couture Rahul is a proof of his travels. His collections often carry the whisper of the places he was – whether it would be the baroque elegance of architecture or the earthly invoice of the European countryside.
“I think fashion and trips are deeply intertwined. Both are about opening, rethinking and a story,” he says. As a designer, his work covers both world-high-energetic fashion glamor and ease of justification of nature. And this contrast is necessary for him.
