In an interview with HT Lifestyle, Vijayashree, a nutritionist MGM Healthcare suggested the following tips for overcoming inflammation –

1. Avoid/eating from time to time.

2. Follow the main balanced diet.

3. Turn on natural anti -inflammatory food. Products that help cure inflammation are called anti -inflammatory foods, such as fruits, vegetables such as green leafy vegetables that have high antioxidants, millet, fat, almonds and citrus fruits.

4. Avoid consuming alcohol and high sugar

5. Avoid high use of oil and fried food

6. Limit coffee/tea

7. Support a healthy weight

8. Exercise

9. Good sleep

In drawing his experience, Dr. Pearly Grace Rajan, senior consultant – internal medicine at the Relat Hospital, recommended the following habits that reduce inflammation –

  • Healthy eating: include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low -fat proteins and healthy fats.
  • Exercise at least 30 to 45 minutes of physical activity of moderate intensity per day.
  • Quit
  • Refrain from alcohol.
  • Control stress through meditation, yoga or deep breathing.
  • Adequate Sleep: Set up for 7-8 hours of sleep at night and follow the dream schedule.
  • Supplements: Like omega-3 fatty acids, turmeric and ginger can help reduce inflammation.
  • Maintain a tracker /diary habit to help you focus on a healthy lifestyle to live longer and more complete.
