Research reveals a deep connection between sexual intimacy and self-esteem.
Confident people are seen as attractive and sometimes even assumed to be good in bed. Likewise, after a fulfilling sexual experience, the next day seems more energetic and energetic. It turns out it’s not all intuition or coincidence. Self-esteem and sexual intimacy are intertwined in more ways than you might think.

A study published in the journal Personality and Social Psychology examined them and found a correlation. In a way, they both shape each other.
Mutual relations

The study evaluated more than 11,000 people between the ages of 15 and 38 to understand this correlation. Data collected over a 12-year period consistently demonstrated a reciprocal relationship between self-esteem and sexual intimacy. When people are happy and satisfied with their sex lives, their sense of self-worth and value increases. It’s not one-sided, because people who are satisfied with their sex life are also confident in themselves. In fact, high sexual satisfaction may even predict increased self-esteem.
Also, research has shown that it is more common in women. This showed that self-esteem can have a more significant influence on women’s sexual behavior.
Sexual frequency is unrelated
Another aspect of sex and confidence is the common belief that a person with a large body is naturally considered cocky and smug, radiating confidence. The reality is completely different. The study found a very weak relationship between self-esteem and frequency of intercourse. Someone who has sex often does not mean that they will have high self-esteem. This echoes the old adage of quality over quantity. Self-worth and self-esteem are associated with satisfying sexual intimacy, not a high sex score.
