Indian Olympic Games medalist Neeraj Chopra surprised everyone on the evening of January 19 when he posted his wedding pictures on social media and announced that he is now married. 27-year-old Neeraj, a javelin thrower, married Himari More in a private ceremony held in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh recently. Their intimate wedding was reportedly attended by close friends and family members.
Sharing pictures from their dream wedding, Neeraj Chopra wrote in his post, “Starting a new chapter of life with my family. Grateful for every blessing that has brought us to this moment together. Bound by love, happily ever after.”
Who is Neeraj Chopra’s wife Himani More?

Reports suggest that just like star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, his life partner is also into sports. According to a Sportstar report, Himani More belongs to Larsauli in Haryana, but she is currently studying and working in the US. She studied at Little Angels School in Sonipat and later did her BA in Political Science and Physical Education from Miranda House in Delhi. She then moved to the US where she studied at Southeastern Louisiana University. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sports management and administration at the McCormack Isenberg School of Management.
Apart from studies, she is also inclined towards sports as a tennis player. According to the All India Tennis Association (AITA) website, Himani’s best national ranking in 2018 was 42nd in singles and 27th in doubles. Himani also worked at Franklin Pierce University as a part-time assistant coach. She is now a graduate student at Amherst College, where she manages the women’s tennis team.
According to reports, her brother Himanshu More also played tennis.

Confirming Neeraj Chopra and Himani More’s secret wedding, Neeraj’s uncle Bhim told PTI, “Yes, the marriage took place in India two days ago.”
Talking about Himani, Bheem further said, “The girl is from Sonipat and she is studying in the US.” Elaborating on the newlyweds, he added: “They left the country on their honeymoon and I don’t know about it. the places they go. We wanted to keep it that way.”
Reportedly, the couple is currently on their way to the US and will host a grand reception in India upon their return.
For the uninitiated, Neeraj Chopra became the first Indian to win an individual gold medal in athletics at the 2021 Olympics, bringing him global fame. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Neeraj won a silver medal – his second Olympic medal.
