When the relationship is approaching, partners often think, asking what went wrong, and when everything began to fall apart. However, a study published in the Journal of the Person and Social Psychology suggests that the decline usually begins two years before the actual decay.

Sad, but the truth. The study states that the relationship process begins in the past. It is never sudden and impulsive. According to the study, the level of pleasure of relationships begins to gradually decline, and then follows a steep fall, which lasts almost two years before the partners call it out. Conclusions of the study:
Leading authors Gianin Larisa Buler and Ulrich Orta collected data from four countries – Germany, Australia, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. The study analyzed the data of 15,000 people who survived the gap and compared them to people who are in relationships.

To understand how this happens, the previous conditions, such as age, personality traits, income, education and satisfaction of the initial relationship were considered. This method helped the study authors understand why people called it out, or when they compromised and remained in relationships. Also Read Unable to move on? The researchers noticed a significant picture in which the relationship of the relationship rolls. Initially, dissatisfaction begins gradually and continues for several years, and then the terminal phase begins about two years before the partners decide.
The study has been conducted to understand if the termination of a romantic relationship follows through a systematic picture. In the document, the authors noted: “The termination of the relationship shows a typical picture of a premature decline and a terminal reduction, which can have important consequences for the terms of interventions aimed at improving relations and preventing separation.”
