Ever since he took over in January 2025, US President Donald Trump makes changes to the government in virtually every sector. From the transition to the deviation of transgender identity to the introduction of mutual tariffs on the countries with which the United States traded, many changes were made last month. Now the Trump administration has touched the base with a new case. It has made some changes to the process of applying for green maps for marriage couples in terms of updated forms, interview in marriage and increasing financial disclosure.

Now, in accordance with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS), the owner of green cards has the right to live in the US forever, provided that they do not take any action that “will make you remove the immigration legislation”. What are the changes in marriage with a green card?
One of the many ways to get an American green card is to marry a US citizen or a green card owner. This man can then sponsor the couple on the green card and get a permanent residence in the US. One of the changes made by the government in this case is the update of the I-485 form, “Action for Registration of Permanent Residence or Status Adjustment”, published on January 20 to apply for a legal permanent residence.
Language changes made in a new form include two variants of gender identity and re -introduction of the term “alien”.
Now in the form, there is also a new section on a public fee asking people to disclose all household income, their assets, debt and commitments, and when they received state aid in the country.
Part 9 of the form related to the overall law and inadmissibility includes the issue of higher education, which the applicant has along with the list of certificates, licenses and skills.
