BLast year, between November 3-5, Dehradun held the 2nd Literature Festival in India, three days of literary events and panel discussions focused on writing crimes. In addition to the writers of criminal fiction, there were also Bollywood bases, such as director Prokash Ja, journalist Sunece Chaudhur (whose book in Tikhara’s prison was adapted to the Netflix series), people who participated in the Amazon Prime Crime Mirzapur series. The festival was a reminder of how fiction crimes is a dominant book enrollment in the country. In recent years, the Indian criminal fantastic has noticed a marked excitement both as well as in quantity. Even a cursory look at the New Issues section in bookstores will tell about the rough health of the genre in India.
