“Never Weigh Yourself” and 3 Other Basic Rules That Helped This Woman Lose 32 Kg – Times of India

Getting started on your weight loss journey is a life-changing process that’s not just about losing weight. Whether it’s health issues or wanting to feel your best, it’s about eating a balanced diet, staying active and making lifestyle adjustments, not temporary. According to popular health tips, losing and maintaining weight requires careful steps, such as exercising frequently and choosing a calorie-deficient, balanced diet. Sometimes you have to give up your favorite foods. However, one woman followed some unpopular weight loss strategies to easily lose 32 kg.
According to fitness trainer Coles (@healthkols), an Instagrammer who lost 70 pounds (almost 32 kg), you don’t have to follow these weight loss tips to get in better shape. She explained how she maintained her weight loss and the six “unconventional steps” she took to lose thirty-two pounds. Listed below are some weight loss tips:

Avoid weighing

This fitness influencer’s first unconventional tip was to stay away from weights. “I didn’t weigh myself the first year of my journey,” she clarified. Instead of focusing on the number on the scale, I wanted to emphasize how I felt! The scale will always change and many people give up when it goes up. Don’t let it get you down. Also, “STOP USING” if it makes you want to give up.

Don’t count calories on vacation

Delicious food is a component of rest. During this period, you can consume more calories. If you’re trying to lose weight, this can be annoying. Still, Kohls advised against counting calories to avoid feeling pressured to overindulge. According to her, “Like DUH! I’m on vacation! However, I also don’t “throw everything out the window” through vacations. I pay attention to my body, eat what I want and stop when I’m satisfied! I can maintain consistency at home by giving myself this freedom while on vacation.

Eat your favorite foods and don’t give up sweet drinks

Coles went on to say that anything done in moderation is not a bad thing. “A calorie is a calorie, so when I drink, I just include it in my deficit,” she said. We also initially sacrifice our favorite foods when trying to lose weight. While cutting weight, the fitness influencer continued to pursue them. “You’ll want something more when you tell yourself you ‘can’t’ have it,” she wrote. Just get what you want.

Work the way you want

If you don’t enjoy working out in the gym, it may seem like a difficult activity. Kohls advised identifying your favorite workouts and doing them at the gym. For example, she liked to lift weights. In the gym, she did just that. “There is no one-size-fits-all approach to fitness,” she wrote.
