And two days later, the two-time Olympian and her husband shared some beautiful photos from their wedding day on social networks. In the photos of P. V. In an interview a few days ago, PV Sindhu and Sai talked about how they had known each other for a long time before cupid finally struck them and they decided to tie the knot. Speaking to CNBCTV18, PV Sindhu said, “We were family friends and have known each other for quite some time.” To which Sai added, “10 years almost… We met in 2013.”
Sindhu further said, “There was nothing back then; we met once in a blue moon types. Then we met on the flight and started talking…”
Sharing more details about this particular incident that brought them together, Sai shared, “It was a Vistara flight from Hyderabad to Delhi and we took it again after many months – it’s also a good memory. I always tell people that she’s the one who texted and called me first – so no one blames me for anything (he joked: “Did you get there?”). and “Did you leave the airport?”
Recalling this incident, Sindhu added: “But then nothing happened, it was a normal conversation. I was always in the center of attention for badminton. After the Olympics, we suddenly decided to get together…” And the rest, as they say, is history.

Asked about Sai and how he matches her ideal partner, Sindhu further said, “He is very supportive, very caring and whatever he promises, he delivers. You need a partner who is very, very supportive and make sure he’s right there.’ Now that’s not so heartbreaking!

At a private wedding ceremony of P. V. Sindhu and Venkata Datta Sai were attended by Jodhpur Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on 22 December 2024 and he also shared the first picture of the bride and groom on social media.

Some time ago, Sindhu’s father confirmed the news of her wedding and shared that although the two families knew each other, the wedding date was confirmed just a few days ago. They chose December as their wedding month as there were no badminton matches in Sindhu at that time.
“Both families knew each other, but it was only a month ago that everything was finalised. It was the only window possible as her schedule will be busy from January onwards.” P. V. Romanwho is Sindhu’s father, told PTI. He also announced that the wedding will take place on December 22, 2024. in Udaipur followed by a reception on 24 December 2024. in Hyderabad.
