Not modest, that’s for sure!

Badminton India’s pride PV Sindhu will be tying the knot with her accomplished technology executor Venkata Datta Sai in Udaipur on December 22. A week before the big day, the duo officially exchanged rings in what appeared to be an intimate ceremony. Quoting Khalil Gibran, Sindhu wrote, “If love beckons you, follow it, for love gives nothing but itself.”
If she doesn’t want to make India proud with her exploits in the sport, it doesn’t take much to realize that she really likes to mix colorful, personality-filled uniforms. This brings us to our main point, the fact that Sindhu is likely to be a maximalist bride on her big day. I wonder what palettes and silhouettes she will lean towards? Well, here is her designed mood board!
Lots of color
Pink, blue, yellow—you name it, she wore it. In fact, not too long ago, she wore this shimmering mrunalini rao lehenga with heavy embroidery, embellished with a layered jewel encrusted choker, to Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala’s wedding.
Embracing the desi princess vibe, Sindhu is seen in this almost jasmine silk lehenga set in sky blue with hints of pink, which was seen in a Mother’s Day post from last year.
And in what seems like the perfect Haldi inspo, this fun and frilly lehenga in pale yellow with hints of strawberry pink and silver mirror looks super dreamy.
Ruffles everywhere!
Sindhu loves her twirls and what really amps up their Instagram drama is of course the ruffles.
And Sindhu loves them too. In fact, she was spotted wearing a frilly saree at least twice. In the first, she is presented in a muted navy drapery with frills and a shimmering blouse on the halva.
The other is a more conservative take on a fashionable silhouette, although the fun and drama is greatly enhanced by the layers of ruffles across the body of the sari.
Modern silhouettes
And finally, we can only expect Sindhu to choose a silhouette that is innovative, fun and potentially carefree for at least one of her functions. Take this biruk organza lehenga set she’s wearing here, which has cap sleeves stitched into the dupatta. We love us some functional fashion pieces.
Hearty congratulations to PV Sindhu and her fiance on their engagement!
