The end of the year turned out to be quite memorable with a lot of celebrity weddings and one of the most talked about celebrations was the marriage Indian Badminton Champion PV Sindhu and her longtime boyfriend, Venkata Datta SaiDecember 22. The couple’s wedding, which took place in Udaipur, was an intimate celebration filled with love and tradition. While the bride’s ensemble for the wedding ceremony itself, a champagne gold saree by Manish Malhotra, was stunning, it was her portrayal of Varmala that really stole the show.

For the Varmal ceremony, PV Sindhu chose a spectacular crimson red lehenga by renowned designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The lehenga was a masterpiece made with intricate detailing and luxurious fabric. The ensemble featured a full-sleeved blouse embellished with a golden embroidered border, giving it a regal elegance. The richly embellished skirt of the lehenga featured golden geometric patterns subtly woven with threads and zari, creating a mesmerizing effect. A sheer red dupatta embroidered with golden polka dots was neatly tucked on her waist, completing the bride’s ethereal look.
PV Sindhu’s choice of jewelery was no less exciting. She sported gold and diamond jewellery, including a heavy necklace, a pair of statement earrings and a gorgeous maang tikka, which added a touch of grandeur to her outfit. Her makeup was flawless, with a smooth base, blush and highlighter that added a glow, and soft smoky brown eyeshadow. Her lashes were covered in mascara, and her winged eyeliner perfectly accentuated her eyes. The finishing touch was her brown nude lips which balanced out the boldness of her lehenga. Sindhu wore her hair in a sleek low bun adorned with a delicate gajra, giving her a traditional yet modern bridal look that had everyone raving.

Her husband, Venkata Datta Sai, complemented her elegance by opting for a warmer ivory sherwani for the occasion. The sherwani, also from Sabyasachi’s groom collection, included an embroidered jacket and matching trousers, creating a sophisticated look that paired perfectly with P’s sparkling wedding attire. V. “Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif didn’t see each other’s outfits until their wedding day,” says Sabyasachi.

Together, the couple looked elegant, and their wedding day was a combination of tradition, luxury and timeless beauty.
