It falls on January 26. Every year, the celebrations marking the day include a grand parade starting from Raisin Hill near the Rashtrapati Bhavan (President’s House), along Kartavaya Road, past India Gate and the historic Red Fort.

Republic of 2025 Parade Live: Timings

The live broadcast of the Republic Day parade will begin at 10:30 am on January 26.

The Republic Day celebrations will take place at Kartavi Way (formerly Rajpath), where President Draupadi Murmu will unfurl the national flag after Prime Minister Narendra Modi lays a wreath at the National War Memorial to start the day.

This year, the chief guest is Prabawa Subionto, the recently elected president of Indonesia. He will also lead the Indonesian contingent throughout the festivities.

For those attending the live event, gates will open at 7am and the reception will end at 9am. Due to traffic restrictions, it is better to arrive early. Finally, the theme for this year’s Republic Day is ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat Aur Vikas’.
