Gayatri-Vikas’ grand house with a minimalist vibe
Away from the busy streets of Mumbai lies the quiet, not so small home of Gayatri and Vikas. They share the space with their two sons. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that few houses evoke as much peace of mind as this property with its minimalist aesthetic.
The home is inviting but completely free of unwanted clutter with minimalist living spaces, clean lines and frequent use of natural materials, giving it a seemingly simple aesthetic. This home also has no shortage of decorative elements, from wall installations to wooden partitions playfully stacked with vases.

The living room overlooks a wonderful view of the sea and a veranda filled with trees and plants of various sizes. While the furniture is comfortable yet elegant and beautiful paintings adorn the white walls, the room’s grand design is enhanced by the pristine floor-to-ceiling glass doors.
The rest of the house is a warm, wooden, stylishly peaceful sanctuary. Gayatri won the Femina Miss India International pageant in 2000 and made her acting debut in the film Swades in 2004. She starred opposite Shahrukh Khan as Geeta in Ashutosh Gowariker’s critically acclaimed film.
Despite winning several awards for her debut, she soon left the film industry. In 2005, she tied the knot with businessman Vikas Oberoi, who oversees and runs Oberoi Construction, one of India’s leading real estate companies.
