Meet Aria, the artificial intelligence “robot friend”.
The new artificial intelligence robot is called Aria and is designed Realbotixan American technology company. Aria was recently featured on Exhibition of consumer electronics 2025 in Las Vegas, and the AI robot is reportedly priced at $175,000 (roughly INR 1.5 crore).
Realbotix, the company that created Aria, claims that AI robots can fulfill a variety of roles, such as being a brand representative at the retail counter, a companion for the elderly, or even a romantic partner for those who are lonely.
Speaking about Aria and what makes this “Robot Friend” stand out from other robots, Andrew Keegel, CEO of Realbotix, told Forbes: “There are two key things in robotics that are like nirvana. One is coming. We’ll let the big guys like Tesla work on it. But the other key part is facial expressions, and that’s why we’re very interested in making robots that can emote, show you what they’re feeling.”
Adding to this, he also said that the AI robot can also work as a romantic partner for humans. “It can be like a romantic partner. He remembers who you are. It can act as a boyfriend or girlfriend. If you’ve ever seen that movie, ‘She,’ that’s what we’re trying to do,” Kiguel said.
Not only that, Kiguel also shared that the face of the AI robot can also be swapped/changed in just a few seconds however you want. “You can actually remove the faces from our robots in less than five seconds… The body parts are also modular, so we can take them apart, put on different faces, and create a whole new robotic character from the same chassis,” Kiguel. Forbes said.
