Recently, the popular YouTuber Sartthak Sachdeva has accused the interior designer Gavr Khan (wife Shah Movement Khan), a high -core Mumbai restaurant, tory, of servicing fake ladies.

In a video that has more than 6 million views, he exclaims: “Shah Move -Khan Kan Restaurant Mein Paneer Nakli.

In response, the restaurant commented: “The iodine test reflects the presence of starch rather than the authenticity of the panic. Because the dish contains soy -based ingredients.

This is not the first time the fake Pannier created the headlines. In October 2024, a man from Gurogram claimed that the company was selling a “fake panel” restaurant via Zomato Hyperpure. The product was marked by an “analog panever” designed for Tikkas and sauce.

This once again caused discussions about how many of us unconsciously consume a large amount of analogue, also known as a synthetic panel. But what exactly is that?

This fake version, often referred to as an analog panever or a synthetic panel, imitates the texture of a true panic, but has no nutritional value. It can be made of starch, hydrogenated fat or even synthetic milk, creating serious health risks for consumers.

Dr. Manoa Gupta, Head of Liver Transplantation and Surgical Gastroenterology at PSRI hospital, warns: “Fake or falsified panel may contain chemicals such as urea, caustic soda or even detergent. Consumption of these substances can be toxic, especially over time.

According to him, you can risk: digestive problems such as nausea, bloating, stomach cramps or diarrhea. Other problems may be stress and kidney stress, poor nutritional value, heart health risks.

Nutritionist Nandini Kumar offers a few simple, trials to ensure the authenticity of your Paning:

Hot water test: Put a piece of breading in hot water for 5-10 minutes. If you notice a greasy or soap film, it may contain synthetic ingredients or detergents.

Checking odor and taste: A true panir has a soft, milk scent and a neutral taste. Sour, bitter or chemical smells-red flags.

Press Test: Rub a small piece between the fingers. If it feels unusually fat or slippery, it may indicate starch or synthetic fat.

Iodine test (for starch): crush a piece of panic and add a few drops of iodine tincture. Blue or black color change confirms the presence of starch.

Dal powder test (for detergent): Cook the pan, let it cool, then add a pinch of Arhar Dal. The reddish tinge involves urea detergent or contamination.

Culinary behavior: The true panel retains the shape and slightly brown when preparing. Fake versions can melt, release the oil or fall apart.

Check out the label: The real panel should list only milk or milk. Avoid foods that mention starch, vegetable oil or “analogue of the paner”.

Nutritionist Ankita Sehgal says, “Choose a panic, only from trusted, sources certified by FSSAI.
